Meta Data Optimization
Title Tags
One of the most basic SEO necessities it to adjust the Meta Title Tag on each page of your website. It needs to be functional for search engines and aesthetically pleasing to customers. The tag serves four critical purposes:
1. Helps Google correctly index each page, based on the keyword phrases included. This remains a major factor for helping in this tag help Google and customers to know what the site is about- so this real estate has to be used carefully.
2. Google usually uses the title tag to generate the title of your site as it shows up in search results.
3. Customers see the tag title show up in the browser tab, making it easier for them to navigate when they have multiple tabs open.
4. The title tag is often displayed when a site is shared on a social site, such as Facebook.
Meta Description
Although less important for search engine results than the title tag, the Meta Description still helps Google know what your site is about, and can help drive clicks from the search results page, as it shows up just beneath the title. A well written description can persuade visitors to click on your page versus others as they show up one atop another.
